Brushseven Art Commissions

Thanks for dropping by! I am a freelance illustrator and spend most of my time working on dark fantasy art. My work is heavily inspired by manga, anime, toys, and video games.

Before you engage me, please note that I have an art style that is rough and unrefined. I focus on composition and atmosphere and fail terribly at line art and anime-type drawings and paintings.  I also have a very narrow scope, so I'm unlikely to do well outside of the subjects that you see here/on my social media accounts.

With that said and if you're still keen, I currently offer:

Character Painting (from US$200)

This is for:

- 1 character
- simple, abstract background

I try to capture the essence of your character by using poses and atmospheric effect. My style is quite loose with these as I focus on capturing gestures and the overall feel.

For multiple characters in 1 image, please see Scene Painting below.

Extras / Optional:

- detailed background - starts from $150

Scene Painting (from US$500)

This is for:

- 2 characters interacting in a simple, abstract background
OR
- 1 character interacting with the environment (detailed background)

I try to tell a story with your characters/environments. This is the option for 1-on-1 battles / boss fights. For battle scenes, I focus on movement and tension between the characters.

Extras / Optional:

- detailed background - starts from $150
- additional characters - $150 per character

Commissions Process

1) DM me on Twitter or Instagram with the concept of your image. Reference images will be very helpful. If there is a particular piece of my art that is close to what you have in mind, please let me know too.

2) I'll gauge if it is within my capabilities to deliver the artwork. If it is, I will give you an exact quote and an estimated lead time.

3) Once we agree on the cost and lead time, I will send you an invoice via Paypal for half the amount as a deposit.

4) Upon receiving payment, I will prepare compositional thumbnail sketches. These will give you a pretty good idea of how the final artwork will turn out. You'll need to confirm which sketch for us to pursue, as well as any changes that you require for it. Any major changes after this point will be chargeable.

5) I start work on the actual piece, giving you updates on progress (low res jpegs) every few days.

6) Once the artwork is complete and you are satisfied, I will invoice you for the remaining payment. Once that is received, I will send you a link to the final high-res file where you can download it.

Some Terms

- All commissioned artwork is for personal use only. If you plan to use it for commercial purposes (profit from it in any way), a separate commercial license needs to be negotiated.

- As the artist, I hold full rights to the artwork. This means that I can sell it, for example as print (although this is extremely unlikely) or include it as part of artbook. It also means that I have the right to share / not share it on my social media.

- Please understand if I cannot take on your commission, it may be due to a variety of reasons, but most likely that it is beyond my capabilities / expertise.

- If I am unable to complete your commission for any reasons arising from my end, you will receive a full refund.

- Let's have fun while we're working together!

Still undaunted? DM me (Twitter or Instagram) and let's start working on your artwork!
